My Final Oil Painting Project

After my 30 days of art project, I was inspired to take my art instruction to the next level. That’s why for the last 12 weeks, I’ve been taking an adult education oil painting class at the San Francisco Art Institute (fancy).

I’m pretty proud of my final oil painting project, a recreation of John Singer Sargent’s “Lamplight Study” (original below).

While I’m super happy with my results,  I have SO much more to learn.

Also, I HIGHLY recommend the Public Education Program at the San Francisco Art Institute – it’s instruction is phenomenal. My instructor, Robert Burton, was REALLY good. He pushed us very hard to try hard projects. Now then, time to take a drawing class.
